Vicki S. Vasser
2012-13 YLS Chair

Meet the Chair of YLS

Welcome to the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Arkansas Bar Association!  Thank you for your interest in our Section and the Association.  The YLS consists of all Association members who are thirty-six (36) years of age or in their first five (5) years of practice, whichever longer.  The Section has several standing committees actively engaged in making a difference in our legal profession and in serving citizens and communities across the State - Citizenship Education, Communication (YLS InBrief newsletter), Disaster Relief, Legal Education, Minority Outreach, and Pro Bono/Community Service.  If you would like to learn more information about how you become more involved in the Arkansas Bar YLS, please contact me at vvm@mcrmt.com or 479 636-0875 or contact the Arkansas Bar Association at 501 375-4606.

Statutes of Limitations

The Guide to Arkansas Statutes of Limitations, Seventh Edition, is exactly what its title says it is: A Guide. The Young Lawyers Section of the Arkansas Bar Association has made every effort to ensure that The Guide is accurate and complete as of December 1, 2010. The Guide, however, is no substitute for individual research and statutory examination. The law is ever-changing and the best sources of information remain the Code itself, relevant case law and the Court Rules.
