CLE
The Arkansas Bar Association is proud to be the premier provider of CLE in Arkansas. We are dedicated to meeting your educational needs. We have over 40 live seminars, as well as a continually increasing number of webinar CLE’s held annually. The Arkansas Bar Association concentrates on providing high-quality seminars on a broad range of topics at a fair and reasonable cost. To view the CLE Calendar, click here.
Annual Meeting
This is the largest association event of the year. The Annual Meeting is a four day event filled with CLE seminars, receptions, and entertainment. Members can save up to $90 by registering online before May 27th. For more information, click here.
Bridging the Gap
This seminar offers a ton of great CLE credits packed into 2 days. The seminar includes several hot topics and new law changes in a variety of practice areas. The course was originally designed for newly-admitted attorneys, but the materials are useful to any lawyer no matter how long they have been in practice.

Board of Governors
The Board of Governors conducts the business and management of the association. The Board of Governors meets three times a year in April, August, and December and is responsible for the day to day operations of the association. Attorneys that qualify are encouraged to run for open positions in their district each spring. The attorney must reside in the geographical area for the Governor’s position and must have served one year in the House of Delegates or must have been an Association member for seven years by the time of joining the Board of Governors in June. Committees
Bar association committees are appointed by the President-Elect in order to direct and coordinate the programs and related activities of the association. Committee work is a vital part of the association, and is an excellent way for members to have their voice heard on issues and participate in projects important to the legal profession. House of Delegates
The House of Delegates is the association’s policy-making body. The House of Delegates meets twice a year at the Mid-Year (January) and Annual Meeting (June) and oversees all the decisions that set the direction of the association. The House of Delegates has oversight of all Board of Governors decisions. Members are encouraged to run for a one or three-year term depending on your Delegate District. Leadership Academy
The Leadership Academy is a program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of participating attorneys and produce higher level leaders with skills that can transform the community and revolutionize the legal profession. Leadership Academy participants attend four sessions covering topics such as Leadership, Legislature & Judiciary, Community & Bar Leadership, and finishing the program with a Pro Bono Project. Sections & Section Officers
Many members of the Arkansas Bar Association are empowering their practice by participating in sections or section leadership. Section officers assist in the budgeting for their section, planning CLE seminars, scheduling section meetings, and keeping the section informed of section business via the section Listserv. Each section has an individual mini-site dedicated to section information and members, including a section News Room, Member List, Listserv and Listserv archives. Young Lawyers’ Section
The Young Lawyers’ Section (YLS) consists of all association members under the age of thirty-six (36) or who have practiced law for less than five (5) years in the state of Arkansas. Legislation Committee
The Arkansas Bar Association’s Legislation Committee supports the association's lobbyist in promoting the enactment of bills included in the legislative package and acts to support the Association's position on legislation affecting the practice of law in Arkansas. Lobbyist
A full-time lobbyist represents the association in the General Assembly. This individual works with the Legislation Committee to support the association’s legislative package. The primary priority of the Arkansas Bar Association is to assist in the enactment of laws which comply with the Arkansas and U.S. Constitutions and improve the legal system in Arkansas.
